River Edge Behavioral Health to Hold Free Lunch-and-Learn for World Mental Health Day
MACON – River Edge Behavioral Health (River Edge) will hold a free lunch-and-learn to celebrate World Mental Health Day. The inaugural lunch-and-learn event, You, Me & Mental Health: You Have Questions, We Have Answers, will be held on Tuesday, October 10th between 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at River Edge Behavioral Health at 175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA 31217.
The goal of the event is to engage the community in discussions about mental health, to share information about services and community resources and to break the stigma around mental health services. Individuals in recovery will also share testimonials about their recovery journeys through mental health and addiction recovery services.
Community resource organizations will also be present as vendors.
The overall objective of World Mental Health Day, observed on October 10th every year, is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
The event will take place in Training Rooms A & B of River Edge Behavioral Health.
