Throughout National Recovery Month, the Georgia Recovers Bus will make more than 60 stops, bringing a message of hope, recovery, and support directly to communities across our state. The Georgia Recovers Bus Tour is an official State of Georgia National Recovery Month event, funded by Commissioner Kevin Tanner of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and supported by the Georgia General Assembly Working Group on Addiction and Recovery.
We will celebrate local peers in recovery, families impacted by addiction, and the many allies who stand alongside individuals and families on their addiction journeys. Sign the bus, collect resources, and hear stories of redemption and recovery.
Macon Recovers Addiction Recovery Support Center is honored to serve as the local host for the Macon stop.
2026 Macon Recovers Resource Rodeo

In honor of National Recovery Month, Macon Recovers will be hosting a resource rodeo. Along with BBQ and raffle prizes, local community resources and agencies will be available to share information and answer questions. Overdose prevention training will be offered all afternoon and an All Recovery Meeting will be held at 4:00p.m.
Overdose is the leading cause of death in America for adults ages 18-45, including in Georgia. On average, approximately 200 people die from overdoses each day in the US.
More than 900,000 people across Georgia are in long term recovery from addiction.
