Macon-Bibb Commissioner Bert Bivins Joins River Edge Board

bert bivinsLongtime public servant Bert Bivins has been appointed by the Macon-Bibb County Commission to serve on the River Edge Board of Directors. 

“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Bivins to our board,” said Shannon Terrell Harvey, CEO of River Edge.  “His depth and breadth of public service are valuable assets to our organization.”

A graduate of Fort Valley State University, Bivins served in the U.S. Army and is retired from Robins Air Force Base.  Previously, he worked as an educator in the Twiggs County school system.  In 1995, he was elected to fill an unexpired term on the Bibb County Commission and continues to serve on the Commission for Macon-Bibb.
