Bibb Sheriff's Office Receives Correctional Facility Distinction

The Bibb Sheriff's Office celebrates a milestone in correctional facility health care. In conjunction with Correct Health and River Edge, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office recived the Georgia Medical Association accreditation. The accreditation is based upon achieving nationally recognized standards of health care in correctional facilities and represents a constitutionally acceptable level of care. Beth Kennedy HornishCorrect Health: “It's like accountability for hospitals. You are judged against national standards and this ensures we are meeting those standards for a period of time. “There are 159 county jails in the state of Georgia and there are only 9 county jails that have received this accreditation.
