Supported Employment
River Edge Supported Employment services assist individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder and/or a mental health condition find gainful employment in an integrated setting. This evidence-based, nationwide practice offers competitive, community-based employment founded on each individual’s strengths and motivations. The Supported Employment services of River Edge are award winning and nationally recognized. In fact, River Edge provides paid technical assistance to other providers seeking to develop these research-proven services to deliver positive outcomes.
Supported Employment and the Person Served
Each person interested in supported employment completes a vocational profile with a River Edge employment specialist to determine the individuals work preference and goals. Each person served must also agree to follow all work placement guidelines.
Supported Employment offers the opportunity for community-integrated employment, complete with the following work rewards:

River Edge offers employers unique, customized help to help find the best candidates for open positions. River Edge then helps to place, train, and support selected employees toward success. This personalized attention helps employers find and retain qualified staff who want to work, increasing employee retention and engagement. The service is free for employers.
