Evidence-based Treatments and Supports

River Edge offers comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based outpatient treatment services to support individuals as they build a life of full recovery from substance use disorder(s).  Persons served work collaboratively with dedicated, highly trained and compassionate River Edge team members to craft an individualized plan toward a life of hope, support, and contribution.  Treatment services focus on building skills and supports to deal with situational stressors and have a meaningful life of joy and contribution; helping individuals move successfully through typical life span issues; improving family and interpersonal relationships; addressing mental health challenges; and dealing sensitively and therapeutically with any history of abuse or trauma. 

River Edge outpatient treatment services include, but are not limited to:

  • Crisis services
  • Assessments
  • Service plan development
  • Family counseling and skills training
  • Recovery and wellness education
  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling and skills training
  • Prescriber assessment and care
  • Nursing services

River Edge services build from the strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences of each individual – whether child, teen, or adult.

Appointments

All River Edge locations are open access for initial assessments. To help your first appointment go smoothly, please bring:

  • Government-issued picture ID
  • Social Security card
  • Insurance card
  • Current list of medications with dosage and frequency
  • Legal guardian (if person to be served is under the age of 18 years-old)

Payment Information

With the exception of Fulton County* River Edge accepts most forms of private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Amerigroup, Cenpatico, and Wellcare.

We also offer a sliding fee scale for those without insurance that is based on income and family size. If requesting a sliding scale fee, please bring:

  • A wage statement from the Department of Labor, or the most recent two pay stubs
  • Current mail establishing residence
